Pradhanmantri Jan Dhan Yojana Full Information

Purpose: To provide financial facilities such as debit card, banking service, deposit, money transaction - insurance, pension etc. to the people along with the bank account.  Besides, Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana is a mission of national financial inclusion.

 Eligibility: Anyone above 10 years of age can open a bank account under this scheme.

Benefits: The benefits associated with this scheme are as follows:

 1) Interest on deposit

 2) Accident insurance cover of one lakh rupees

 3) No minimum balance is required, however, it is advisable to deposit a small amount to withdraw money with the help of Rupee card.

 4) Rs. 30000  Life insurance cover of Rs.

 5) Money can be easily transferred across India.  Beneficiaries of government schemes will be credited directly to their account.

 6) Satisfactory transaction in the account for 6 months - Overdraft facility after payment.  Will be given.

 7) Pension and insurance facility will be available

Procedure: The following documents are required for opening an account in Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana.

1) If you have Aadhaar card, then no other document is required.

 2) If the address has changed, then a certificate of the existing address is required.  If you do not have an Aadhaar card, any one of the following government documents is required.

 A) Voter ID driving license

 A) PAN card d) Passport e) NREGA card

Note: If these documents contain the applicant's address, this will serve as proof of identity as well as address.  2) If any person does not have the above mentioned document, he can open an account with any document issued by the bank for the low risk category by a gazetted officer in which the photo of the person is also certified.  1 implementation

 Institutions: The scheme will be implemented through branches of nationalized and public sector banks, branches of co-operative banks, bank friends, business representatives etc.
