The Gujarat government has announced a scheme to provide cash in lieu of LTC for a period of three years from 2016 to 2019.


The Vijay Rupani government of Gujarat has taken a big decision to benefit government employees.  The Gujarat government, like the central government, today announced the payment of leave travel convenience (LTC) to its employees in cash.  The decision was taken as transportation and tourism were disrupted due to the lockdown.  The state government has decided to provide LTC in cash as there is no complete lockdown in all parts of the country.


The circular states that as per the Sixth Pay Commission, employees with a grade pay of Rs 7,600 plus will be paid Rs 20,000 per person under LTC.  Employees with a grade pay of less than Rs 7600 will be paid Rs 6000 per person.


The Gujarat government has announced a scheme to provide cash in lieu of LTC for a period of three years from 2016 to 2019.  Those seeking to take advantage of it were allowed to take advantage until 31 December.  It has now been decided to give the benefit of this scheme till 31st March 2021.  The scheme has not been implemented for the period 2020-2023.

Announcing this, Finance Minister Nitin Patel said that employees who have used LTC during Diwali or Navratri will not get the benefit of this facility.  This step has been taken so that the employees are not deprived of the benefits of LTC.  The cost of insurance premium will also be considered as the cost incurred under this scheme.  The amount of insurance premium deposited in the days following the issuance of the circular will be treated as expenses incurred under this scheme.

 In this policy you have to pay a premium of Rs. 121 per day i.e. about Rs. 3600 per month.  You can also take this policy at a lower premium if you want.  But the amount from this will also be less.  By investing Rs 121 per day, you will get Rs 27 lakh after 25 years.


Death benefits are also included in the policy :


 God forbid but if the policyholder dies after taking the policy, his family members will not have to pay premium.  If the death is accidental, the family will get Rs 10 lakh.  If the death occurs under normal circumstances, Rs 5 lakh will be given.  The family will also get Rs 50,000 every year till maturity.  That is, the plan also includes Death Benefit.  An amount of Rs 27 lakh will be given to the nominee after 25 years.


What are the terms of taking a policy? :


 If you want to take a policy for your daughter, you should be at least 30 years old, daughter should be at least 1 year old.  The policy is for 25 years, but the premium has to be paid for 22 years only.  No premium will have to be paid for the remaining 3 years.  But it should also be noted that the duration of this policy can also be reduced according to the age of the daughter.

 The limit of this policy can also be set at 13 years instead of 25 years.  These funds can be used for her daughter's marriage as well as her education.  All in all, looking at this policy frees you from the worries of both your daughter's marriage and education.

(b) Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry. Out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.

(c) At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D guided as supervisor/Co-supervisor. 

OR

At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals. 

(d) Possess the basic knowledge of Computer application as prescribed by the Government of Gujarat.

Assistant Professor - Biotechnology Engineering :

  • BE / B.Tech/ M.E / M.Tech / M.S

Deputy Registar :

Master’s degree with at least 55% or its equivalent grade B in the UGC seven point scale of the universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or state Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of university grants Commission Act, 1956, and after obtaining educational qualification should have.

(a) At least 5 years administration experience on the post of Assistant Registrar of any university OR on the post of equivalent to afore said post in the Government or in board or corporation established by and act or rules.

OR

(b) 9 years’ experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000/- and above with experience in educational administration.

OR

(c) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.

Assistant Registrar :

2.Once the online application form is completely filled,submit it and get printout of the same and send it along with two photographs, self-attested copies of necessary certificates including in support of the evidence of Age, Educational Qualifications, Caste, Physical Disability, Experience, all supporting documents related to Academic Performance Indicators (if applicable), endorsement from the current employer (if applicable) and E-mail printout of fees paid etc. with the applications, and only through Speed post/Registered Post to The Registrar, Establishment Section, Gujarat Technological University, Nr. Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Visat Three Roads, Sabarmati- Koba Highway Chandkheda, Ahmedabad – 382 424. It should reach on or before last date (i.e. 08.01.2021) up to 17:00 hours as prescribed for receiving the application. Applications received after the last date will stand rejected automatically. 

3.Applicants are advised to submit their application by clearly mentioning the name of applied post on the top of sealed envelope and well in advance without waiting for the last date to avoid postal delay or any other unforeseen problems. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.
