 Pradhanmantri Matru Vandana Yojana :  In India, women do not get enough nutritious food.  Half of the women in the country are pale while one third are found to be malnourished.  If the mother herself suffers from hunger, she gives birth to a child with a weak body.  In the womb of malnourished pregnant women, the developing baby does not receive the required nutrition from the mother, resulting in imperfect defects in the child's physical development in the future.  And so the baby weighs less even at birth.  Due to poverty and economic hardship of the family, many women have to work till the time of delivery.  So that he does not get into the required r.  The body becomes weak, the baby does not get the amount of milk needed for nutrition, so there is a lot of weakness in both himself and the baby.As a solution to this, the Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana under the National Food Safety Act of 2017, which will be implemented in all the districts of the country, concerned about the health of pregnant women as well as newborns.

Purposes of Matru Vandana Yojana : 

  • To give the mother who gives birth to the first child in cash as compensation from the government for the purpose of not going to work and resting during the prenatal and postnatal period.
  • Pregnant women and midwives get as much money as cash in labor so that they can get the comfort they need, resulting in physical development for themselves and their baby.


Beneficiary of Matru vandana Yojana : 

  • All women except those employed by the Central Government, State Government or public sector units or receiving assistance as per the existing norms will be covered under this scheme during pregnancy as well as for six months after childbirth.
  • The scheme will benefit all pregnant women who give birth to the first child in the family after January 1, 2018 and mothers of breastfeeding children.
  • The gestation period will be calculated according to the date of menstruation indicated in the medical certificate of the beneficiary woman.

  •  In case of fetal miscarriage or stillbirth : 

1. The scheme can be availed only once.
 2. Women who have had a miscarriage or have given birth to a stillborn baby will be able to benefit from the plan during the next pregnancy.
3. If the beneficiary receives the first installment of financial assistance and the fetus falls later, the rest of the installment will be given after the first installment during the second pregnancy.  In the same way, after deducting the amount of installments received, the remaining installments can be availed.

Benefits of the scheme : 

  • A pregnant woman will be paid a total of Rs 5,000 for the purpose of using it for her physical development before delivery and after the birth of the child.  The first installment at the time of registration is Rs.  One thousand will be found.  The second installment of Rs 2,000 will be given at the time of medical examination after six months of pregnancy.  The third installment of Rs 2,000 will be paid after the birth of the child after giving the child BCG, oral polio vaccine, DPT and hepatitis-B vaccine.
  • If financial assistance has been given to a woman giving birth in a hospital under Janani Suraksha Yojana, the amount will be taken into account and the above amount will be given to pregnant women as an incentive.

Registration of women under the scheme :

  • Women who are eligible for the benefit of the scheme are required to register at the hospital, government hospital or anganwadi center where the scheme is being implemented in the state or union territory.
  • At the time of registration, the woman and her husband have obtained Form-1-A, showing all the details in it, along with the required supporting evidence, they have to show their consent in writing by giving the Aadhaar number, mobile number, bank or post office account number of the woman and her husband.  .
  • There is no need for registration form, and this form can be obtained from Anganwadi Center and government hospitals.
  • The beneficiary of the scheme will have to get the acceptance number or receipt from the place where the form has been given after registering the name, showing which the amount of various installments of the scheme will be given.
  • The first installment of the scheme will be given after the mother and child protection card will be given to the beneficiary after registration of name, then Aadhar card or proof of identity and bank or post office account numbers will be given.
  • The second installment of the scheme will be given by filling up Form 1-B after six months of pregnancy and giving a copy of the Maternal and Child Protection Card as well as report of pre-birth medical examination.
  • The third installment of the scheme will be given by giving the required dose of vaccine to the child after the birth of the child and filling the 1-C with a copy of the mother and bottle safety card.

  • If for some reason the pregnant woman has not registered her name and is eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme in all other ways, she can apply for the benefit of this scheme within a period of two years from the time of conception.  If the date of last menstrual period is not registered in the Maternal and Child Protection Card and the beneficiary wants to get the third-last installment of Mahila Yojana, the application can be made within a maximum period of 30 days after the birth of the child.

The long-awaited local body elections in the state have been declared.  With all the preparations for the Corona period, district and taluka panchayat elections will be held on February 21 and February 28.



District and taluk panchayat results will be announced on March 5.  Municipal and municipal elections will be held on February 21.  District and taluka panchayat elections will be held on February 28. Elections will be held in two phases.  Elections will be held in 6 Municipal Corporations, 81 Municipalities, 31 District Panchayats, 231 Taluka Panchayats.

In continuation of the Gujarat Government’s initiative to make women self-reliant, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani launched the Mahila Utkarsh Yojna web portal at the State Cabinet meeting here today to ensure the beneficiaries get complete detail of the scheme.

A presentation of the portal www.mmuy.gujarat.gov.in with details of participating banks and financial institutions as well as eligibility of the beneficiaries was made at the meeting.


The multipurpose scheme was started on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s last birthday on September 17, 2020 as a gift for economic uplift of women under the guidance of the Chief Minister to help one lakh such Women’s Groups – ten women in each group – with a target of covering ten lakh women, including 50,000 groups in rural areas and 50,000 in urban areas, start cottage industry or small business. 


It entails setting up joint liability earning and saving women’s group and advancing Rs one lakh loan to the group through nationalized, private or co-operative banks or financial institutions.

The portal is expected to hasten the existing procedure of advancing loans, the status of the loan, besides registration, approval and other details.


The Chief Minister exuded confidence the portal will establish paperless governance with maximum application of technology with less human interface and improved work culture.


So far, the State Government has inked MoU with 189 institutions, including 65 urban cooperative banks and 124 cooperative and other banks, for successful implementation of the scheme. In all, 44, 854 joint liability earning and saving groups have been set, to benefit 4.48 lakh women.

Implementation of this scheme in rural areas by Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Ltd.  (GLPC) and in urban areas by Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GULM).  The main objective of this scheme is to create 1 lakh Joint Liability Earnings and Savings Group (JLESG) and make 10 lakh women self reliant by encouraging joint economic activity through these groups.


The main features of this scheme are as follows : 

 (1) If each group pays regular installment under this scheme, Rs.  Provision has been made to pay interest above Rs. 1 lakh from the Government.

 (Ii) Under the scheme, 60,000 JLESGs will be covered in rural areas and 30,000 in urban areas.  In which the amount of interest will be paid by the government to the lending institutions on behalf of the women's group.

National Toy Fair 2021 : Learning through play is an important part of a child's development.  Toys and games help children develop their senses, problem solving skills, conflict resolution and many other skills.  When children play with other games, they also learn to accept the opinions of others and to take care of others.  Children's mental skills are also developed while playing.  Toys nurture values ​​in children such as creativity, imagination and cooperation, interacting with each other, respecting each other, etc.  The purpose of education is the holistic development of the child.  Which involves the development of cognitive, psychosocial, emotional, aspects.  To achieve this goal, children need a variety of experiences.  This includes the creation of new knowledge and its relation to existing knowledge.

Toys or games, whether physical or virtual, are friendly tools for scholars.  Toys have long been used to keep children engaged in various sports.  Over time, the shape of the toy and the materials used to make the toys have evolved.  Especially with the development of technology, the importance of toys in education has also increased.

In his keynote address on August 30, 2020, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi highlighted the huge potential of the toy market and the opportunities to promote 'Self-Reliant Indian Toys'.

With the aim of providing active and enjoyable education by involving children in the learning process and pedagogy and promoting the indigenous toy industry, in collaboration with other Ministries including the Ministry of Education, by the Ministry of Textiles Date: 27 - 02 - 21 to 02 - 03 - 21 (Day -  4) Meanwhile the first national toy fair is organized in virtual mode.

  • There will be 75 exhibition stalls for the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
  • N.C.E.R.T , S.C.E.R.T , Their schools and teachers along with CBSC as well as I.I.T.E, Gandhinagar will present exhibitions in this exhibition stall.

Guide to making toys / games :

1. The toy can be made for any of the stages based on any of the topics mentioned above.  Any type of toy / game can be selected.

2. To prepare photographs / videos related to the process of design / development of toys.  Demo video with voice over should be prepared for demonstration / demonstration purpose (in Hindi and English).

3. Toys / games should be measured by the concept / skill for which they can be used.

4. Every toy / game will have to be documented.  The documentation should contain the following details :

  • Objectives
  • Phase of school education / age group
  • Used Materials
  • Construction time
  • The concept / skills that are measured (pedagogy)
  • Process - How to use toys / games.
  • Cost
  • Suitable for disabled children (if possible)

5. How to use the toy :

The language used to understand the toy should be easy and friendly for all participants / users.

6. Kits manufactured by States / UTs can also be displayed.  The kit should contain a manual with details about the use of the items.  A sample item of each kit can be published with its name, corresponding age group and the purpose of a line in a very short time.

7. Record the process of making a toy with the children regarding 'do it yourself'.

8. Use of local-specific materials and eco-friendly resources / materials should be preferred.

9. Handling and using toys.  It should be easy for all children.

10. Manufactured toys should be durable, safe and effective in terms of value.

11. More attention should be paid to the independent type of toy to hone and enhance the child's imagination and critical skills.

12. Toys / kits should not be displayed randomly, instead the name of each item / toy should be displayed one by one when the exhibitor explains about one item / toy after another.

13. All planning needs to take into account the toy fair's virtual exhibition mode.
