Marriage certificate registration : In India, marriage is considered a sacred rite.  That is why the matter of marriage registration has been included in our law.  Marriage registration is required for any couple.  Those who are educated or uneducated must fulfill their responsibilities.

 The Gujarat Marriage Registration Act 2006 was enacted for the registration of compulsory marriages in the state.  Marriage registration is required for today's youth.  The future of nine couples is secured by marriage registration.  Marriage registration is a very simple process.

 Documents required for marriage registration :

 1. Form No. 5 and Form No. 1

 2. The groom - a true copy of the bride's living certificate.

 3. Groom - Genuine copy of the bride's election card.

 4. Two passport photos of the bride and groom

 5. Wedding couple photo

 6. Example of Gore Maharaj

 7. Original Kankotri and Xerox copy

 8. Copy of Gore Maharaj's election card

 9. Copy of election card of witnesses and original copy of ration card

 10. All the evidence should be kept in two copies and signed by the bride and groom

 11. Keep together to show all original certificates

 12. Fill in the marriage application form with black pen and check with the clerk and get it inward.

 13. Both the bride and groom should be present at the time of marriage registration.



 Marriage registration fee :

 1. If the registration is done within one month from the date of marriage, the fee is Rs.  Is 5.

 2. If the registration is done within three months from the date of marriage, the fee is Rs.  Is 15.

 3. If the registration is done more than three months from the date of marriage, the fee is Rs.  Is 25.

 - Rs.  Two agreement stamps of 100 + 100 as well as Rs.  Court stamp of 3 will have to be affixed.

 - Forms for marriage registration will be available free of cost from the marriage registration registrar.

 Registrar of Marriage Registration :

 - Talati cum Minister for Gram Panchayat

 - Chief Officer or Health Officer for the Municipality

 - Health Officer for the Corporation

 - Chief Executive Officer for Notified Area

 How to register a marriage :

 - In order to register the marriage, the parties to the marriage have to prepare the list of registration in the specified form.

 - Within thirty days from the date of marriage, the list of registration has to be given to the registrar of the place where the marriage took place in two copies.

 - Form No. 5 and Form No. 1 have to be filled for marriage registration.

 - The form must be signed by two witnesses.

 - The registrar will then check the form and the evidence you provide.

 - Will issue marriage certificate if deemed appropriate.

 - You can get marriage registration certificate in both Gujarati and English languages.
